Is it just me or do these graphical screens built into the wall near
(probably) the door entrance seem really rather inconvenient for the
high price they all charge?

In most cases I'd want (well have) something straightforward for
switching the lights on (several scenes etc) but something portable
for all the other stuff (i.e. I want to pick the tablet up). Having a
dock on the wall might be good though.

All this is clearly possible now from homebrew to Crestron etc so I'm
just surprised to see new stuff of the fixed screen variety introduced
- seems so passe to have to get up to switch music sources;-)
