All in all Chris I would probably wire it back connector for
connector,
any tidying would only really be possible on the neutral , (which are
already in one connector), or live feeds , the latter being the ones
that connect the COM's together. You likely wont be able to cut down on
the number of wires entering or leaving the metal back box without
rewiring elsewhere in the house.
