used to be some mobile phone sim card based things on ebay for about
=A3100  it used a mobile pay as you go sim card and a gps receiver.  you
sent it a text message and it replied with it's co-ordinates i think,
or you could use gprs and it would constantly update.

websites like .....damn memory hmmm www.followus.co.uk  that looks a
cool way of doing it maybe? 25pence per track, you'd need to just get
a cheap pay as you go mobile and wire it in to be on charge all the
time, assuming there was no danger atttached to that??

the ones i saw originally ran from a 9volt battery that kept them
going for months.  pretty cool, but a pay as you go phone will work
just as well i guess
