RE: Movie jukebox solution?

Thanks Nigel. I've been playing with it today whilst working from
home....xlobby seems quite good, but it needs a 3rd-party plugin to play
the
DVDs. I've been trying to get ZoomPlayer to work, but it's an absolute pig
to configure, and I've just given up (plus it costs money to use as a DVD
player). Anybody use Xlobby, and if so, which DVD player?

Pete

Pete,

Try X-Lobby....

It is windows based and also free...

It will do MP3 and pictures as well as movies.

I have seen a demo with a HD projector that blew me away, fantastic quality
and speed without any glitches.

It can be skinned and is optimised for touchscreens and you can use dual
displays (one for control, one for display) or do remote control via a
PDA... Also doesn't get hung up on DRM...

So I'm fed up with MCE....I've been tinkering around with it for a couple
of
months, but (IMHO) aside from the glossiness, it's not a patch on TiVo. It
doesn't crash much, but it has a habit of forgetting where media files are,
then it forgets how to play them, and the search function, on my set-up at
least, is pointless, as the picture that's on the screen doesn't reflect
where you are in the file. I know MCE works for some people, but to be
honest unless it was really good I didn't really need an all-in-one
solution
for video, pictures, TV etc.

Anyway, what I do like is having an on-line DVD jukebox. I use My Movies
within MCE at the moment, so is there something similar I could use without
needing MCE (still has to be Windows though)? Needless to say, free would
be good, but for a really good package I'd happily pay something.

Thanks

Pete
