Solwise ethernet over mains (PL-14PE)

After a fair period of flawless operation (not sure exactly when I
bought them - perhaps a year ago), it now seems - unless I'm doing
something very stupid - that 3 out of 4 units have failed in the space
of a week. We've not had any power issues or thunderstorms, so it is a
bit of a mystery. One of the units finds the powerline carrier, but
doesn't recognise the ethernet device plugged in to it. The other two
no longer find a carrier at all. Any suggestions? Anyone else seen
similar issues? I'll drop solwise a mail, but I suspect they are now
out of warranty.
