Re: Is there a Linux version of Windows Media Centre Edition?

I have to say that I found the same problems when trying knoppmyth.
Numerous weeks spent trying to get it working the way I wanted (and I'd
consider myself reasonably linux competent).

In the end I gave up, went back to XP and tried about half a dozen or so
different pvr applications, before settling on GBPVR (http://www.gbpvr.com).

I'm currently running 4 tuners (2 * nova-t for freeview and 1 * pvr-500
connected to an ntl box and a sky box). It's been working perfectly now
for
about 4 months or so. The pvr machine itself is in node zero (garage) and
I
use the built in web control for managing recordings etc and various xboxes
around the house for watching stuff.
