My AOpen AX4SPE Max-II has been superbly reliable in my linux server.

I chose it on the basis that it provided all of the ports I wanted (2
serial, firewire, plenty of USB, 6 SATA (4 RAID 0/1/0+1), 7.1 channel
sound, 3 monitored fan headers, and gigabit ethernet), had a beefy
voltage regulator, and abackup bios chip.

It's a bit out of date now, but it might be worth checking out their
current range.

Jim
