Good points - A quick google did not reveal much re. temperature
reached
during curing. Certainly I did not happen to notice it getting hot at the
surface but it was quite deep so at the bottom it may get warm.

Warm enough to melt the insulation or accelerate a decomposition process
based on chemical attack? I don't know.

The only thing I found when searching for 'bury cable under floor screed'
was some notes about mechanical fragility.

Anyway - if it ever happens again I'll plan ahead and put in conduit!
