RE: Win MCE & Sky

Russ / Anyone else with MCE

My MCE has a lag of about 1.5 seconds and thus makes watching live TV
unwatchable.
Especially when changing channels.

It sees to be based on the fact that MCE caches the video input (for live
pause etc)

Anyone have a fix? I thought of using a RAM type disk and using that as the
temporary video storage.

I use SCART->S-Video input in my TV card to enable it to receive the
signal.

If you buy an MCE remote control, you will get an IR blaster with it, which
will then (once you have gone through the MCE setup) automatically do the
channel changing.

Just about as easy as it gets.

If you run into any problems let me know.
