A little Friday lightness:

How well do you know some of the modern social acronyms?

Apologies if any of these may apply to yourself or anyone close to you!

SINBAD - Single, no boyfriend and desperate

SNAG - Sensitive new-age guy

LOMBARD - Loads of money but a real dickhead

BOBFOC - Body off Baywatch, face off Crimewatch

MARINE - Muscles are required, intelligence not essential

WUSS - Willy useless, seldom sober

WOFTAM - Waste of time and money

BONPA - bed only, not for public appearance

MBA - mentally below average or married but available

ISA - Isn't she awful

SITCOM - Single income, two children, outrageous mortgage

ORCHID - One recent child, hideously in debt

WOTCHA - Wonderful old thing, considering his/her age

This originated from doctors notes, who also have shorthand for

GPO - Good for parts only

UBI -Unidentified beer injury

NFN - Normal for Norfolk, or more locally NFC - Normal for Colyton

Also from IT techies, computer problems described as PICNIC - problem in
chair, not in computer

Cheers

Rob
