SCART faceplates and cable

  • Subject: SCART faceplates and cable

I'm wanting to put our new Humax PVR in the cupboard under the stairs
and send signal to main TV via RGB and to other TVs via (initially)
UHF.

I've looked at composite and v-video distribution systems, but my wife
and myself sat down for 30 mins and looked at the quality of UHF versus
CVBS versus s-video versus RGB and have decided -
1) It must be RGB for the main TV.
2) S-video is better than composite, which is better than UHF, but not
so massively different that it's worth spending the money on composite
or s-video distribution. We'd rather wait and do RGB (or DVI or HDMI or
whatever else!)

So, for now at least, the PVR and Media Player are going into "node
0"
with a SCART connection to the main TV.

I have found SCART faceplates at simplyautomate, but would appreciate
advice on any other suppliers and also what cable to run between them.
I can maybe just fit the cable used for SCART leads into the back
boxes, but this stuff can be iffy quality and separate leads might be
better. I need to go about 10 metres.

All advice welcome.
