RE: AutoM8it

Well I agree it seems like a good product. I bought it and plumped for
the=
'Gold' version with free upgrades and plugins. What a fool I was. Ended =
up costing me over =A3140.00 and I never got any support although I tried.
=
No new plugins were ever developed and like you I think that they no longe=
r exist. To add insult to injury about a year after I had given up trying
=
to get support and trying to use the product the apparent author popped up
=
on this list and offered a copy to anyone who wanted one in exchange for a
=
=A35 donation to the Tsunami appeal.=20=20
=20
Steer clear.

Subject: [ukha_d] AutoM8it

Hi All,

Is anybody using AutoM8it? I'm having a play with it at the moment as
an=20
introduction to some basic X10 stuff, as well as temperature monitoring=20
through a Quasar sensor module.

So far it seems ok and seems nice and simple to use (compared to
HomeSeer=20
which is overkill for my purposes I think).

My only concern is that the AutoM8it web site seems to be stuck in 2003 :)=
=20
Have they "gone"? If so, can it still be registered? Is there
any further=
=20
development? A lot of the links to the plug-ins seem to be dead too.....

I'd also appreciate anyones comments on stability / suitability / long
term=
=20
use.

Thanks

Martyn=20
