I use a Mediagate MG-25 and it's great. Very good codec coverage - only
a few problems across hundreds of files, but no GMC or QPEL. It takes a
nice quiet 2.5" drive.
I also have the MG-35, which Freecom sell as the Network Media Player.
This connects to wired ethernet and takes a 3.5" drive. Same great
codec
handling as the MG-25 and the ability to open the IFO of a DVD! Connects
to any network shares you have.
I tried the MG-35 with a spare 3.5" drive and found it a bit noisy.
Choose your hard drive with care.
