A sad day....

I'm sorry to say that the day has finally come when I'm reluctantly
going to have to part company with Tivo....

Now that I have 2 Sky+ boxes I just don't need tivo for most of the
functionality I require... - I will miss some of the extra things that
sky+ just can't do yet, but these things all fall into the "nice to
have" category rather than essential killer features. That coupled
with
the fact that I'm getting increasingly frustrated with Tivo's failure to
change channel reliably in my particular configuration, means that I'm
finally going to take the plunge and become a tivo-free zone...

So, before it goes on Ebay, anyone here on UKHA is welcome to first
dibs...

It is a standard UK series 1 Tivo, with a single 120GB IBM/HGST drive,
which has been in there about 2 years. It has a turbonet card fitted,
and tivoweb installed & running and a fitted LAN cable exiting the back
of the box (about 2 metres). Standard tivo remote (the peanut), a PACE
RF2Link cable for connecting the IR to a Sky digibox, and the original
Tivo dual-ir wand emitter. Also, all the original manuals, - but not the
original box (far too much clutter in my loft to keep the boxes for
things these days!)

I've been through and deleted all the recordings, but I haven't cleared
out my preference data or season passes, so it will completely ignore
all soaps/reality garbage, and get lots of sci-fi / factual /
documentary type stuff if you leave it like that... :-) The channel
settings are set up for a fully-inclusive sky package..

I've had a look on Ebay, so I know what the going rate for these appears
to be these days...

Any takers? - highest offer secures, - not first come first served... (I
need to fund further gadget purchases!)

Paul G.

PS, I have a fully working 28" 4:3 Goodmans TV free to a good home if
anyone wants it.... - I've now replaced it with a lovely 32" LCD
widescreen hi-def jobbie...
