PAC 2 COMFORT Only by using the counters in Comfort

COMFORT TO PAC You can pass any group to the PAC

So create an new Lighting Group on Comfort say 57

( assuming you have nearly filled up 56 )

Best to stick to the known lighting groups on Cbus otherwise things
don't always run smoothly

Then send any level you want via that group

You can then code it out as a variable and use it in the PAC Logic

Be warned though everything isn't as rosy as Rob suggests

The PAC is limited in how much code it can crunch

It is brilliant at "who is in the house what is the temp should I turn
the lights on

Not so good at lines and lines of code decoding messages from the serial
port

Also Robs write up seems to suggest that when you test the logic on the
PC it then will work in the PAC

There are lots of complaints about this on the Cbus forums

The PAC software is utilising the PC serial ports and PC CPU's

When it transfers to the PAC obviously different Serial ports and a lot
lower CPU performance

Also you have to unplug the PAC from the Network if you are trying out
the logic on the PC

As at present you cant stop the PAC so you get multiple logic happening
- An effect which has the same effect as LSD on your brain after a
while!!!

Having said that the Logic is brilliant being PASCAL with a CBUS Subset
so most things are achievable

The serial ports only work if you add external voltage.

Not a problem unless you forget when you return to the unit after a
couple of months having long thrown away any info on it

I wasn't aware Kevin of the 100 times write to the PAC

I have seen it verified by Clipsal for the Black and white Touch screen
though

Rob

Is there any level of interaction with Comfort with the PAC ? That is,
are
there any ways to gain access to Comfort parameters in order to do CBUS
logic ?
