No, the original remote will only set 18 <-> 30 using 'up' &
'down'
keys, but it does transmit the temp in the IR code. The original remote
has a temp display on the remotes LCD, and using the up/down will set
the PRT's LCD to whats displayed on the remote. Once you get to 18 on
the remote, pressing 'down' will just retransmit 18C and keeps the
display as such.
