A diskless front-end is something I may well sort out in the future,
especially for the kids, and perhaps for the in-laws when they move
into the annexe. If you want to watch stuff in multiple locations I
think this is one of the big plusses of mythtv -- having access to all
recordings made anywhere from anywhere you have a front-end. You could
even have people in different locations watching the same programme at
different points whilst it is still being recorded.

I've only got 300GB in my myth server. Currently i have 200+ programmes
recorded (mostly stuff for the kids), using just over 100GB for 45 hours
worth of viewing. That will reduce as I work through them all transcoding
them and trimming off any other bits of programmes recorded at the start
or end (and chopping out the adverts, if I can be bothered).

James
