i haven't got my myth box fully set up yet, so i can't really tell you
about quality yet...
it should be way better than vcr, depending on the resolution of
what's recorded (which is contingent on the space you have for
storage, and the processing power of your machine). dvd quality should
be easily attainable.
lots of cheap nvidia cards have tv out.
