CCTV camera

Hi everyone.
I have question about CCTV: Is it possible to get round the problem
of the automatic IR (at night) on a CCTV camera?
The reason I ask is because I want to have a camera inside my double
glazed window, but the IR beam at night floods the lens because of
reflection from the glass.
I would be happy to have a camera that doesn't have IR facility,
but can't find a small one with good resolution at a price to match
the IR equipped ones.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Chris
(I'm not very `up' with all the hi-tech stuff that's discussed but
I've been watching for a while and, hopefully, learning.)
