I ordered all mine from the states -12 pairs of speakercraft in the end -
for roughly half what they cost here. I have a contact if you need it. All
being used as stereo pairs except the outdoor rock speakers which are
stereo
rocks :)

I'm trying to make the same decision ATM, although it's 2 or 4 speakers,
rather than 1 or 2. For kitchen, dining room & bedrooms I'm going for 2
speakers (stereo pair). The lounge is proving harder to pin down. I'll
probably put in 4 speakers, i.e two stereo pairs, just as I think that's
the
'safer' option.

I'm also still trying to decide on make/model. I was looking at Kef
Ci160.2QR at ~£130 each, although I was in the US last week and saw some
Home Tech (made by Sonance) at Best Buy (www.bestbuy.com), see:

or

Prices are much better, but how do they sound?

I still can't decide what to get - it's very hard to judge quality based on
specs alone.

HTH,

Tim.
