We got ours - but she wanted to charge us. Copyright is one thing, but it
depends on the contract you make. Just make sure the contract you sign
specifically states you want copies of all originals in raw format (ie
non-modified JPGs) as well as any album jpgs.
Got them free in the end cause it took so long ! Also, because of where we
go married, she cannot use them for her own commercial purpose anyway :-)
So we have some protection.

Excuse the OT post but I need a bit of advice...
In this digital era, it seems odd that I can't find a photographer for my
wedding that is willing to give me digital copies of the images, as well
as
printed images. Having spoken to various photographers, the majority of
them use digital cameras but NONE of them will give me the digital images
quoting "copyright"... Have any of you heard of this? Is this
normal?
These are Portuguese photographers in Portugal but does that explain it?
Cheers for any advice,
Pedro
