The DVD decoder is critical to MCE and there are a limited number that
work well. In the Pundit we normally use the Nvidia without any
problems. If you have both WinDVD and PowerDVD on MCE will only use
one of these. You can check which one MCE is using with the Microsoft
Decoder Utility

It might be worth trying the other one which Deccheck will allow you
to set.

Do you know what versions you have of each. Really you need V6, some
very late version 5 will also work but earlier V5 can cause problems.
