Oh, I drove post a Comet so stopped in and bought a 512mb iPOD Shuffle :-)
=A369.00. Its really just a pretty pen drive! But hey its got an Apple

Its really the iTunes software though that makes it functional. You can
tel=
l
it to auto fill the shuffle based on a particular playlist, make random
selections from your entire library or you choose the tracks, it will even
re-encode higher bitrate AAC files down to 128 on the fly just for the
shuffle! Just kind of neat and well thought out, much like everything Apple
these days!

When I got home SWMBO said "I want one" so I've got to go back
and buy
another one tomorrow! I've already set up her playlist of inane pop drivel
:-)

Personally I would suggest that if it hurts then he finds somewhere else to
keep it...

...and it can't be very good for the iPod putting it there!
