Hi all,

Looks like a great group you have going here. Glad to be a part of
it. My interest in joining has been around the Sonos system that
some of you appear to know a lot about. My 3 ebayed Zone Player
units turned up from the states yesterday (controller coming in
today seperately for some reason). It was a doddle to setup - I
remembered to change over to 230v, just in time. Almost
disappointingly easy setup, no option to flex my limited technical
know how at all. Just worked.

I had one issue with one of the ZP that I placed on the floor in the
corner of the room furthest away from another box. This didnt pick
up the signal. Was fine when I raised it up three foot onto a
sideboard. Now all three working a treat and happily streaming
different tracks continuosly. Also has almost no impact on the PC
the mp3s are sitting on.

Next step is to get 20m of Cat5 cable to free up the first
zoneplayer attatched to the PC and move it three floors down to the
living room where it will actually be of some use.

I am looking forward to seeing how the controller works.

Anyone recommed a good NAS box to work with the Sonos(which is
presumably quieter and has less power useage than a full spec PC?

Rgrds to all,
Bruce.
