Jon,

I just this minute found a reference to the same procedure (after hell of a
lot of sifting of results)
I have no way to test,  so I'll bung the Cabs & ini files on the card
and also give hime the installer and the latest version of Active Sync,
just to be sure

Possibly a little hit and miss but you certainly used to be able to
copy the "relevant" cab file to the PPC and it would install when
executed.  I think that Active Sync basically operates in this way but
will already know which .cab file to copy across.
