Just a thought...
Have you tried opening it up and giving the rubber key mat a good wash
in soapy water (clean thoroughly in afterwards)
Also clean the contacts on the PCB

Any one got a SliMP3 remote that don't want/need (perhaps you're using a
pronto or somesuch?)
My decrease volume button has stopped working and Slim Devices want over
$40 to ship a spare!!! - Extracting the urine springs to mind!
So, if you do have a spare, I'd really appreciate it if you would drop
my a mail off list with costs etc.
