Just got this:
The new version 7.0 and its hardware are scheduled to release in March. The
followings are the highlights of the key features.
Authentication Server ---New
Compared with previous version where you may need to setup passwords on
each individual PC, you may now set up passwords for several DVRs from a
single PC, using Authentication Server. The feature is extremely useful
when you are managing several DVRs in a facility.
Enhanced network security by RSA Encryption ---New
You may apply RSA encryption to protect video data while sent over
internet. The encryption could be applied in Webcam, VSM, RPB, and Center
V2.
Remote Monitoring Via Symbian and Microsoft Smartphone ---New
You may now monitor surveillance sites through your Symbian and Microsoft
Smartphone. The new version allows you to view live in JPEG on these two
mobiles.
More Video Resolutions to Support Audio Recording ---Enhancement
The following resolutions now support audio recording and playback:
640x480 de-interlace (new), 720x480 de-interlace (new), 720x240 (new),
640x240, and 320x240. Same supports also to PAL standard: 720x576
de-interlace (new), and 720x288 (new).
Higher Video Resolutions for Better Image Quality ---Enhancement
More video resolutions are supported: 720x480, 720x480 de-interlace in
NTSC, 720x240; 720x576, 720x576 de-interlace, and 720x288 in PAL. The
resolutions also apply to applications such as Object Monitor, Object
Index, and Object Counter.
Easy Backup to DVD ---Enhancement
It?s now possible to export video files to DVD and playback at your home
DVD player! Our advanced backup program, designed to work with Windows XP,
and Server 2003 burner software, allows you to backup video files directly
to CD media.
Export AVI Footage with Multiple Cameras Images ---Enhancement
Compared to previous version where you could only export video files from
one camera at a time, version 7.0 allows you to export video files from
multiple cameras at once. You may now play back multiple cameras at once
in Media Player (previously you could only play back one camera view at a
time).
Schedule to Connect to Center V2 ---Enhancement
You may now auto connect to Center V2 by schedule.
Support more PTZ Domes ---Enhancement
More PTZ domes are supported: SAE DR-E588, and Kenko DMP23H1.
Screen Resolution 1280x1024 ---Enhancement
The version now supports 1280x1024 resolutions at main system, RPB, and
Center V2.
Save Video as EXE Files ---Enhancement
Save video clips in EXE format so that user could auto-play the video file
at a third-party player without the need to download the codec.
Vital Sign Monitor Displays Storage Information ---Enhancement
In Vital Sign Monitor you may read about storage information (e.g.
availability of hard disk space) on each DVR.
Video with Synchronized Audio in Webcam Remote Play Back ---Enhancement
The feature allows you to view video with synchronized audio in Webcam RPB
(remote playback).
Introduction of New Hardware
GV-Keyboard
The GV-Keyboard is designed to support exclusively GeoVision DVR systems.
Hybrid DVR Card (GV-MPEG2 Hard Compression Card)
You may choose to purchase Hybrid DVR cards in addition to your GV-system.
Each Hybrid DVR card (hardware compression card) gives 4 video and audio
channels recording at resolution 720x480 (NTSC) or 720X576 (PAL) with low
CPU usage.
GV-HUB
The device could help you in two ways. One is that it provides four RS-232
and four 485 ports so that one GV-system could now support up to 4 POS
systems. Second is that the device serves as four GV-NETs.
Upgrade to version 7.0 with USB Dongle
Instead of using S1 chipset as in version 6.1, upgrade is made easier in
version 7.0. Ask for a USB dongle if wish to upgrade to version 7.0 in
GV-600, GV-650 and GV-800. Upgrades are possible only through authorized
distributors
Paul.
