Phil,

If you go to My Music or My Pictures and press the "i" button on
the remote
it should give you the option to add music or pictures. If you choose this
option it will also give you the option to remove folders as well as add
folders to the list.

Not sure for the photo's (Will check when I get home) but the mp3s
share the library used in media player.  Given suficcient time, and it
can be real slow to index a few thousand tracks, you could delete the
library in media player and then get it to re-scan for your mp3s.
