Matthew,
This might not be the sort of advice you are looking for but I think if
it were me I would start over...
I take it you are using the self installing CD ?
Once this is finished use the web interface to set up two extensions (or
more) and check this is working before moving on to the next step of
adding an outside line.
I take it you have configured the XLite soft phones correctly, do they
indicate that they have registered in the display above the keyboard...
you should see it log in....

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] Asterisk@home
Hi All,
Just set up my asterisk@home box using a copule of Xten-lite
softphones and a Free World dialup (FWD) line. Problem is, after
following all the configurations on the asterisk@hoem website I cannot
call from one extension to another! I get a nice american lady
telling me the other person is on the phone (which I knwo is not the
case!).
When I try to make an external call I get "all circuits are busy now,
please try your call again later". or "486: busy here".
Any ideas where I have gone wrong? If there is some way of letting
somone else into the box to remote config it would anyone like to have
a look for me?
Many thanks,
Matt Miles
