Thanks Dean

That's great! Whilst I've got your (or anyone else's) attention
:-).........
I'm about to run the 240v feeds to the bathroom for:
a) Mirror Heaters
b) Towel Rail
c) Underfloor heating

For 'a' I was going to run a separate feed from a c-bus relay which will
switch on with the lights. I didn't want to spur off the lighting for that
room as its on a 1amp dimmer and already has 4 x 50w halogens. Is my route
the best one? The two mirror heater pads have a combined output of nearly
200w.

How am I best to deal with 'b' and 'c'? 'c' needs to be on a 30Ma RCD. The
towel rail element (fits inside a central heating fed rail) is 400w. Shall
I
run two 2.5 runs from the consumer unit one into the RCD and one into a MCB
or can I connect both in series to the RCD (Less cable to run :-)). I have
no nearby and easily accessible ring so I cant spur 'b'.

And if anyone starts quoting part P regs or whatever the hell it is and the
fact that I need to have it done by a qualified sparky etc etc then I'm not
listening! ;-) Actually the local building inspector is coming back soon to
look at our velux window and he's said he can pass it :-)

Thanks in advance

Rob

Rob

We do shed loads of heated mirrors, a mix of clipped, driiled, and many
that
are inset into fully tiled walls with very little to no gap - some
developers silicon between tiles and mirrors, others grout upto them.

As long as mirror backing is ok with pads and its the right adhesive you'll
be fine.

Anyone here using mirror heating panels?

I want to fit some behind a 1300 x 1000mm mirror but the instructions
suggest corner mirror clips to allow for expansion. This is not something I
want to do as I would prefer to use mirror adhesive for a flush fit within
a
pre-made tile gap.

Is my mirror just going to crack in this scenario?

P.S. Heaters are connected to a c-bus relay for automation, just to keep it
on-topic :-)

Rob
