Hi,
I have the Passware kit and it works really well. If the password is a
"real" word it finds it in a second, it then uses a clever
algorithm trying
typical combinations of letters that takes a while longer but is still
amazingly fast - the problems start if the password you seek isn't
uncovered
by these - you then specify a character set and it breaks it by Brute
Force - thats where the limitations start - unless you are certain of the
character set and pretty certain of the length it can be a lengthy wait.
Even though it tries tens of thousands of variants a second the sheer scale
of the maths means it could take years - naturally this experience has made
me use longer passwords with stupid characters making it less likely that I
will ever be able to crack my own passwords should the need arise.

Good luck.

Tim
