Hrmmm... just to throw in my two cents, I *have* heard of the freezer
trick before... I've used it many times, successfully. I also know many
small companies that use that trick to recover data from a drive. It's
not a good idea for long term use, but it *does* work for emergency
recovery, a lot of the time.
