Re: LCD TV Above Fireplace - Cables?
My fire (in the fire place oddly enough) would turn any LCD TV into a pile
of smouldering transistors on the floor.Kind of defeats the object.

Yup - over fireplaces does tend to be a bit high in most rooms ... would
certainly suggest temporarily fixing up a piece of paper to the wall the
size of the screen and in the position that you're thinking of putting
it and sitting down in your usual chair for an evening and seeing
whether it would be comfortable to watch.
