I've got some from when they were =A314 in the newsletter and the missus
wants another 3 sets, so the drop in price is welcome :)

The individual balls are self contained with the battery, light
source, on-off switch and a connector on the bottom to charge via the
base unit.

The lights cycle when switched on and they don't have the ability to
stop on a certain colour or anything.

Unless you're cutting them open, removing the switch, and providing a
seperate power supply (IIRC they quote about 5 or 6 hours run time on
batteries) and possibly re-programming whatever is inside to show a
single colour etc....

I would be interested to hear from anyone that's done that.......! I
just switch them on, put them somewhere and look at the purty lights.
