Well, I know that the Sonos' status (plus everything else) is
programmatically accessible via UPnP so shouldn't be too tricky to
write a plug-in that just polls that interface.  Not that I'm
volunteering - haven't touched homeseer for years now ;)

Did you try the digital expert forums on the sonos site?  Some
interesting development/apps have come out of there last time I
looked.
