Re: Re: [OT] Anyone got one of the new TomTom's yet?
My bluetooth phone was requsitioned for 2 weeks hols as it has
international roaming (or more likley cos I pay the bill) before I had
a chance to play much on handsfree - made a couple of calls and received
one but not whilst navigation was running, maybe Paul can check this.
The handsfree quality can be improved if required by purchasing a small
cable mic but it was fine with mine without. I dont know if it uses the
TomTom as a mic (inbuilt) or the mic in the phone otherwise - I expected
it to be the TT but couldn't see a hole as expected. If it's the phone
it's not going to be good in a jacket pocket/bag is it.
POI sounds are downloadable to TT now, and warn distances are settable -
also an option for 'on/off route' for warnings. I understand TT are
also considering allowing customisation of the speech voice. - could I
really cope with a 'told you so' in the vocab ;-)
