It's worth a go - might need to find something more substantial than the
small washers though  - some kind of block of rubber. You may find you
still get some noise as the board on it's own may act as an amplifier?

I think I'll be working on tomorrow afternoon.....

But all the sockets/relays/bases are already mounted securely on a piece
of board, so I may be able to get away with mounting that board onto the
wall with a large amount of rubber washers/grommets....  :)
