Just out of interest, how many UKHA PC aficionados have decided to get one
of the Mac Minis?

=20

I=92m so close to ordering one =96 just waiting until the final launch to
c=
heck
everything is as they say (and working on SWMBO)

=20

Will probably go with one of the 1.42Ghz with 80MB HD and 512MB RAM.
(=A344=
9
incl VAT) Not bothering with the upgrade to the Superdrive as I=92ve
alread=
y
got 2 x DVD burners on other Windoze PCs.

=20

Pretty much fed up with Windows XP (MCE 2005) on my main machine =96
It=92s=
a
Pentium 4 3.4 Ghz with hyper threading, 1 GB RAM and a 250GB SATA drive.
I=92ve only had it a few weeks and find it decides to become extremely
unresponsive at times. CPU showing 4% yet it behaves like a dog and screen
refreshes slow down. I really can=92t be arsed building it yet again =96 I
=
just
want something that is fast and just works. I=92ve even started thinking
ab=
out
sticking a Linux partition on there and dual booting to see if I can get
th=
e
performance out of the machine I was expecting.

=20

If the Mac mini works out (as switching to Mac appears to have worked for
lots of people) I may just be tempted to switch to a more powerful Mac as
m=
y
main machine as funds allow. Doing some research, pretty much every
application I run, has either a Mac equivalent or a Mac version so
there=92=
s
really nothing stopping me.

=20

Just interested in other peoples thoughts!
