[OT] Windows 98 & Internet

  • Subject: [OT] Windows 98 & Internet

I was talking with a friend yesterday and she said that Windows 98 would no
longer talk to the Internet ! What's of even more concern is that NTL were
happy to suspend her broadband connection and refund several months back
rental as they'd also been told this by Microsoft !

Have I missed something here ? I've been surfing the Internet in Win 98 PC
(kids one in the lounge and a client's PC) with no issue. I've used 98 via
NTL and via an ADSL with no issue.

Anyone else come across this ?

Alex

PS I know 98's out of date and the kid's PC's XP Home CD is on the shelf
and
on my (ever expanding) to-do list :-)
