I looking at getting voip setup. I have a linux server or 2 but I am
totally new to all this.
To setup a voip network do I just need the Asterisk software? do I need
other hardware ?
Any tips and pointers much appreciated

We are running Asterisk on our local Linux server which is a lowly dual
233MHz and it works fine with Snom and Cisco VoIP phones. The server also
carries out lots of other duties so it is quite loaded. I shouldn't think
it would have much problems for the number of extensions mentioned.
