RE: VoIP

And Skype? It's not as mature as the likes of Gradwell, but it's getting
better by the week, and the call quality to other Skype and PSTN users is
very good. We use it for all of our comms between our various EMEA
offices=
,
and will hopefully be implementing a more robust call centre solution
(stil=
l
using Skype) later this year.

I have been doing a bit of research to try out Voice over IP.=20=20

It seems that Vonage ( <outbind://31/www.vonage.co.uk>
www.vonage.co.uk)
have now released their VoIP UK service. Not cheap though - =A311.74 a
mont=
h,
but with free calls. Mobile rates are VERY cheap too, and the service has
good facilities such as voicemail and diversion if service is down. Plus
they give you a free adaptor.

There's no 'contract' period, but a disconnection fee of =A323 +VAT.

Another good feature is that they have emergency services (999/112) which
others don't seem to offer.

Sipgate.co.uk is free, with good rates for call charges, but absolutely no
extra features like voicemail. If you are not online, callers get NU.

Gradwell.com is really good as they offer a complete virtual PBX system and
you only pay for the single line. =A38.23 a month for a real local number,
=
and
call charges are relatively cheap.

Just thought that might be useful!

Alex.
