I am using an ipaq h4100 with built in 802.11b with housebot supplying
the interface and talking to girder which then puts out the IR via USB
UIRT and FIRM. Works very well. A little long winded maybe but the
final output doesn=92t necessarily have to be IR, it also controls a VIOM
and a DMX interface via serial and theatertek directly.

Subject: [ukha_d] Touchscreen Remote - Pronto or PocketPC?
=20

Hi All

I have got a bit of a dilemma.

I have got an original Pronto that we use downstairs and I have very=20
happy with it. Now we want another one for upstairs.

So I went off and found the new Pronto RU950 at =A3200. So I thought=20
great I can get that.

Then I started thinking about the Pocket PC based remote solutions.=20
Surely for around =A3200-=A3250 I could get a remote and a PocketPC in=20
one?

So what are my options for PocketPC based solution?

So far I have only found this - HYPERLINK
"http://www.ultramote.com/index.php"http://www.ultramote.com/index.php

Are there others?

and are they as good as a Pronot based solution?

Cheers

ben
