Well, that rather depends, doesn't it?  If I could do that for the cost
of the meter, some extra tails and an hour of my time, or I could get
SWEB to come and replace the meter for an arm and a leg (which is
probably an underestimate of what they'd want), which is silly?

I guess it could be installed next to the CU?  Just switch the meter
tails from the cupboard to the CU into the new meter, then put a new
set between the new meter and the CU?
