We had a similar problem with our last cat. The neighbours one was coming
in, also being jet black it was sometime very hard to distinguish between
them (until the interloper bolts to the door). One day we came in and found
the interloper upstairs, I shut all of the doors and proceeded to spray the
little blighter with a plant sprayer with water in. Never had the problem
again.
