RE: How to create a VPN endpoint on a Windows 2000 PC (Not server)

Hi,

I wish to access my HA PC (Win2000) from either my PDA (via Starbucks WiFi
etc etc) or office PC.
My router has VPN tunnelling capability but not endpoint but it will
support
dynamic DNS.
Half way there I think.
My PDA and office/notebook all have VPN client capability.

I have absolutely no knowledge of Linux and not to keen to go down this
steep learning curve just yet.

Regards,

Neil

Do you actually only want to connect to the win 2k PC or are you trying to
connect to your lan? (with win2k you can't it wont bridge)

Take a look at openvpn - The standard software includes both client and
server sides.

If you're happy to trust a 3rd party then you could try Hamachi (
http://www.hamachi.cc/ <http://www.hamachi.cc/> ) - not one I
would use but
if I don't mention it someone will pull me up on it ;)

There's another one called ipig (both server and client are downloadable)
