Do you actually only want to connect to the win 2k PC or are you trying to
connect to your lan? (with win2k you can't it wont bridge)

Take a look at openvpn - The standard software includes both client and
server sides.

If you're happy to trust a 3rd party then you could try Hamachi ( http://www.hamachi.cc/ ) - not one I
would use but if I don't mention it someone will pull me up on it ;)

There's another one called ipig (both server and client are downloadable)
