SliMP3 firmware issues?

  • Subject: SliMP3 firmware issues?

Chaps,

As I gradually get re-organised after moving house, I have finally got
round to dusting off my original Slimp3 (VFD display, smoked acrylic
case, wired ethernet only), and upgraded to the latest release of the
slimserver. Whilst the Slimp3, which is running v.1.2 firmware, does
the dhcp thing right, it can't find the server even when it's
explicitly pointed at it. Does anyone know if this is due to running
ancient firmware, and if so, is there a way to fix it (the FAQs all
assume that the slim can see the server prior to a firmware upgrade).

TIA
Patrick
