It's not a problem with all universal remotes...

Quite a few devices use alternate codes for single keypresses and usually
the Prontos do handle this OK. My Thomson Freeview PVR definitely does this
and the RU890 / 940 / 970 / 950 and 980 all handled that - the iPronto
didn't at first but that was fixed with a firmware update.

There is another workaround to this (which is how I did it initially with
my
iPronto whilst I waited for a firmware fix) which was to grab both sets of
IR codes ... then just make the Pronto switch between two visually
identical
pages of buttons alternately.

That's handy that it's registry hackable ...

... I must do that to get more than two tuners in mine!
