Phil,
I've just tried to order a couple of these for Xmas but they're currently
out of stock ;o)

Of course you could just get their 65" LCD (listed on their website at
a
mere £14,000 inc VAT) which definitely does have a serial port and - for
the
people who claim that 720p isn't hi-def - is 1920 x 1080 pixels native
resolution. (I expect them all to be placing orders right now and look
forward to their reviews.)

Whats the model number Phil? Does it have PC input?
I wont ask if the picture quality is any good because a) I've seen it b) I
know you're a fussy sod!

My Sharp Aquos 32" has serial port control for inputs, power control
etc.

Whilst on the subject of LCD's I'm back on my eternal question :-)
Anybody found a decent 30"-32" with RS232 control or discreet IR
for inputs,
on and off?
Rob

The dell is great which is why at this price I bought 2 and everyone I know
bought 2.

My brother bought the acer 26" screen from ebuyer, after they sent him
a
screen with an eu plug and some eastern European manual/warranty, he sent
it
back for an exchange - which they didn't get right and refunded him.
So, he bought the dell (when it was on offer) and tells me that the screen
on the dell comparatively 'urinates' all over the acer screen in terms of
clarity and picture quality.
I haven't seen either yet though.

Might be worth looking at the Acer AT3201W from ebuyer.

Only £760 for a 32" HD ready set. Worth a look at the reviews on
ebuyer.
I'm quite tempted :)
