Creating a diary room

Guys I wonder if you can help.

I'm getting married in November and had mentioned to my other half that I
might be able to setup some kind of big brother style diary room using a
webcam. Now with less then 80 days to go I thought I better get on with
it!!!

I've done a bit of searching on google but only managed to find some other
bright spark with the same idea and no answer:-
http://forums.vnunet.com/thread.jsp?forum=6&thread=27711

The idea is to have a PC that records video and audio with triggered
possibly by motion activation. And maybe some onscreen buttons to click,
which prompts the *drunkard* with some kind of questions.

I'm pretty handy when it comes to coding so if it comes to it I could try
and through something together in VS.NET. But I'd hoped someone else may
have already done this. Anyone awair of some webcam controls for .NET

Rob

P.S. I didn't think this was to OT, so havn't marked it.
